10 September 2005 (yesterday) (tomorrow)
Locked myself out of Lion. Took a cab all the way back to Greenpoint to call Peter, then got a car all the way back. Peter showed me the zone.
I digitized dv tapes from a pilot for a show called 12th Year Senior, a Van Wilder-esque sojourn through the life of one Johnny Lechner.
I bought birthday presents at Barnes & Noble: two copies of The Futurological Congress, one for Matt and one for Dave. On the way to Matt's apartment, I saw a German fire eater. At his apartment, Amy was in a fabulous red dress. I drank sangria, talked with Michele, a Reuter's journalist, on the fire escape, and watched Matt duct tape two forty-ounce bottles of malt liquor to his hands and get waaasted.
My watch suddenly broke on the subway platform. I asked a woman for the time and she thought I was hitting on her. At Dave's apartment, I saw some of the characters I had met at Burning Man in a far more mundane context. Cassandra was obviously tripping but I was not. I said hi to Wendy, Ray, met an artist and gave her my number without ever quite catching her name.
At the end of the evening, two Olgas sat across from me. I hit on the one closest to me. She drove me home, and I dropped my phone number in her bag.
