28 September 2005 (yesterday) (tomorrow)

In the afternoon, we finally got around to recording In Your Apartment.  I sang it two different ways and I didn't like either version.

Then, Travis smoked me up and it started raining torrentially.  I said to Mr. Thermometer, Let's Record That.  So he put mikes out front, and then out back.  I asked Travis for a glass of water.  Then Mr. Thermometer asked me to do my bear voice for Twiggy.

When we were done, Mr. Thermometer took a piece of the rain and plopped it down on In Your Apartment with a little hanging over the end.  It fit perfectly, and the song breathed life. I made David Soll's green chile. I chopped up pork ribs and braised them in olive oil, then slow cooked them with fresh tomatoes, canned whole tomatoes, chopped cilantro, fresh ground cumin and cloves, and salt and sugar. After two hours I threw in the jalapeno peppers and the bell peppers. I served it in bowls over rice with a flood of lime juice.
